This drink is my absolute favorite, the amount of spice is perfect, I love cold or room temperature, it’s just the best.
I have never been a big fan of ginger, but this is actually great! The strong flavor helped me stop from taking big chugs, so I got to enjoy it for a lot longer than other sodas. The spice from the ginger worked surprisingly well with the other flavors. And what really ties everything together is the fact it's not loaded up on sugar, so I can drink without feeling guilty.
Whether chilled and enjoyed by itself, as a mixer for a great whiskey or for medicinal purposes; and there are many, no ginger ale to date on the open market can measure up to Reed’s. It is the only beverage to rightfully distinguish itself as genuine ginger ale unlike most other brands that are artificially ginger flavored soda.YOU WILL You may not always be able to access the best of what life has to offer but you can indulge yourself in Reed’s Ginger Ale knowing it is the absolute best.
I love the Virgil products however I am concerned they are discontinuing the product. The Dr. Better is my favorite and they discontinued that one. I recently tried ordering from the website and found it to be difficult because the product was limited. I recommend this item, but would like assurances it is still being provided.
My roommate brought these home and I was expecting no flavor seltzer, per his usual taste. But we were both shocked in the best way possible. The ginger is definitely prominent, but it felt more complimentary than overwhelming. It comes down to personal preference at the end of the day, but we're now both huge fans.
I’m so happy they made this. Such an amazing soda and so so so good for you.
I love this stuff, it's not like the big name brands such as Barq's, Mug, or A&W, it's made using natural ingredients, and the flavors all work together to create a complex flavor.
However, just like in the coffee world, some flavors are not for everyone. I have a good friend who's a coffee connoisseur, and he gave me his favorite brew of coffee, which was the most bitter tasting drink I'd ever had in my life. Everyone's palette is different, so keep that in mind.
Also, if you read reviews online, some people complain about it not tasting like it used to several years back. I AGREE THAT THE FLAVOR IS DIFFERENT. This is likely due to the availability and cost of natural ingredients fluctuating, and the necessity to streamline things. When you market and sell a "handcrafted" soda and demand starts growing, you need to make changes to keep up.
If they do still have that "award-winning" recipe somewhere, I'd love if they would bring it back and market it at a higher price as a sort of "Brewer's reserve addition."
Anyway, I loved Virgil's when I first discovered it, and I still love it now. Give it a try, and if you don't like it, FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, please give it to someone who likes it instead of throwing it out. I read a review where someone trashed three out of four bottles because they didn't like it and it made my blood boil. I calmed down after telling myself it was probably just a bot.
A Supreme lemongrass ginger soda but far too expensive but yes it could replace regular soda
I've bought this in the uk from my local supply in Rochester, Kent. Tastes amazing and personally a lot better than HP worlds butterbeer. I will definatly look into buying it direct if i can.
What has happened to your zero root beer. I have been buying it for years and bragging to everybody how wonderful it was. Did you change the recipe????? Just awful. It looks more like iced tea than root beer. At first I thought it was root beer that went bad so I purchased another four pack. The same horrible flavor. I had to throw it away. Why would you mess with a great product. Very very disappointed.
Much better for you than any other soda and tastes great! (Gary)
Recently I had a stomach issue so naturally I wanted to get some ginger ale. I found these at my local grocery store on sale and bought a couple single cans. After trying one, I immediately went back and bought 24 cans. Sharp ginger bite, low sugar low sweetness, balanced by the citrusy lemongrass. My new obsession.
My favorite soda. Hard to find locally so glad I can get directly
Been drinking it for years. Wish you still sold it in bottles, but it's still my favorite.
So Virgil’s is probably the best cola on the market and that’s coming from an individual who brings Mexican Coca-Cola in glass bottles for a Latin American work crews on our farm. That’s the way Coca-Cola used to be, but honestly Virgil’s is a much cleaner product, with superior ingredients. Such a joy buying their products they’re all excellent.
The root beer was really good. I remember buying Virgil‘s root beer, ceramic jars with a rubber stopper and a flip over ceramic cap. I’m very surprised how good this was in a can. Also, this is a very thoughtful company. Their packaging is unbelievable. It’s like you could throw a case of soda off the roof, and it will be just fine. All of their sodas are just excellent well crafted quality products and the way I get them on our farm in North Carolina, so well packaged, I will pay the premium price..
Taste great. Does it suppos to have ginger floating throughout
Been a root beer lover since I was young, but now I’m let’s say much older and have to watch my sugar intake, these sugar free versions have really been a little blessing for me. Didn’t think I’d ever drink a root beer that I would actually enjoy ever again. Thank you for what you do!
The Virgil brands are all great choices. I love the Black Cherry and the Vanilla cream. 5 star all day.
They used to carry these at big lots and we had to track them down. They are awesome so fresh real ginger flavor.
