Ginger just makes you feel good. It’s a natural stimulant, a satisfying spice, and a well-known home remedy. That’s why we’re on a mission to find new, delicious ways for you to enjoy REAL ginger goodness.
Reed’s is packed with real, fresh ginger, known around the world for its health benefits and stimulating properties. We source our ginger sustainably from the Peruvian Amazon—a bold strain found nowhere else.
Reed’s refreshes with an invigorating ginger bite followed by a surprisingly smooth finish. It’s all thanks to the perfect blend of fresh ginger, pineapple juice, lemon juice, lime juice, honey and spices. Plus, our Jamaican-style ginger beer is all-natural.
Reed’s revived a centuries-old recipe for craft ginger beer. We drew inspiration from early traditions that pre-dated mass production and brewed our first batches in a kitchen in Venice Beach. We’ve outgrown the kitchen, but we still embrace the small batch process and ingenuity that make our ginger beers special.
We’ve been on a real ginger kick since 1987. We embrace the whole ginger experience – the spice, the heat, the flavor and the health properties. The starting point, the whole reason for Reed’s existence, was a mission to find the best way to consume high amounts of ginger on a daily basis. Ginger is just one of those rare things in nature, and in life, that is both good for you and makes you feel good. But how to get as much as possible without getting blown away by the pungent spice?
We decided to go back to go forward. We discovered that Ginger Beer, before the days of commercial soda making, was actually made at home with tons of ginger. We then searched for the right recipes and found that the Jamaican tradition, still alive and well today, held the secret to making fresh ginger more palatable, even downright delicious. This led to our own experimentation and ultimately to a simple recipe using all-natural ingredients you might have in your own fridge: fresh ginger root, sparkling water, pineapple juice, lemon juice, lime juice, honey, cane sugar, spices
We’ve been brewing those ingredients for thirty years and the result is thrilling to experience. First you get a whiff of sandalwood from the ginger skin that lets you know this is real ginger. Second, you take a sip and experience the invigorating bite followed by an elegant, smooth finish – that’s the Jamaican trick. But that’s not all. After a few seconds, the warming effect of ginger spreads from the back of the throat to your chest, and you get that general sense of wellbeing. Now that’s good living.
