Before the days of commercial sodas, ginger beers were made at home with tons of ginger. That sounded about right to us—all we needed was a classic recipe.

After years of searching, we discovered that the Jamaican tradition held the secret to making a downright delicious ginger beer. It’s a simple formula that uses natural ingredients you might have in your own fridge: fresh ginger root, sparkling water, pineapple, lemon, lime, honey, cane sugar, and spices. Just the good stuff.

Begin by pouring 1 1/2 parts whipped coconut cream or vodka into a glass generously filled with ice. Then, infuse the concoction with the vibrant essence of 2 parts orange soda or orange juice, creating a harmonious marriage of creamy coconut and zesty orange flavors. Ingredients: 1 1/2 parts whipped coconut cream or vodka2 parts orange soda or orange juice2 parts ginger aleOrange wedges and/or maraschino cherry for garnish (optional) Instructions:Pour vodka, orange soda (or juice) and ginger ale in a glass with ice. Stir tocombine.Garnish with orange wedge and serve!

Begin by creating a tantalizing presentation, coating the rim of a cocktail glass with a touch of sugar for an extra layer of indulgence. In a glass, combine 2 tbsp lime juice, 1/2 cup grapefruit juice, a splash of orange juice, and 1.5 tsp sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Introduce a spirited kick with 1/2 cup vodka, then amplify the experience with 3/4 cup of Reed’s Real Ginger Ale (or 1/2 cup Reed’s Ginger Beer). The result is a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and refreshing. Ingredients: Begin by coating a cocktail glass rim in sugar Combine 2 tbsp lime juice, 1/2 c grapefruit juice, a splash of OJ and 1.5 tsp sugar ina glass Stir well, until sugar dissolves Add 1/2 c vodka, 3/4 cup Reed’s Real Ginger Ale (or 1/2 cup Reed’s gingerbeer),and a few large ice cubes Garnish with lemon or lime wedge Enjoy!
